What our clients & friends have to say!

April 15, 2025
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Katie Brown through our mutual client, Red Doc
Farm. She assisted me in taking bull photos and I’ve seen first-hand how hard-working she
is, whether it’s doing cattle work or producing videos.
Katie has a creative mind for video production. She was responsible for capturing b-roll
video through the bull sale prep season and the bull sale weekend. She’d then edit the
footage into videos for social media. She delivered multiple videos that were engaging, and
it captured the heart of Red Doc, showcasing the family and the legacy of the operation.
Katie knows what to capture to promote the brand. She’ll put in the hours needed to get the
job done. Her background and experience in the livestock and rodeo industry will serve her
well in this role.

About me

HEY, I’M KATIE!
A quick little back story on myself, I’m 27 years old. A few years back, I started college for photography at Spokane Falls community. Had Covid not hit, I would have graduated and transferred to Cal arts for videography. Due to the inconvenience of Covid and finances, I had to drop out. However, even after dropping out, I was not giving up on my dream of videography & photograpy . I have a passion for telling a story, and an ability to make you feel like you are right there in the moment. Over the last several years I have traveled this continent, joining freelance photography and videography along with my other passions: working with livestock and mentoring kids in 4-H. Over the last 11 years, I have sought every opportunity I could find, to view life through a lens. Even having my only camera stolen did not stop me. Slowly but surely, I have been creating a name for myself. When I was about 21, I found myself in Kalispell Montana one rodeo season. On a dare as a spectator, I rode my first bronc. That ride turned into three years on the rodeo trail, chasing that gold buckle dream every cowboy/cowgirl has! My love of rodeo and the agriculture lifestyle has always run deep. I guess you could say it was in the genes. My great grandfather, “Carol (Mac) McLean”, was a 4-H legend in the Pacific Northwest. He was known as the “fast talking cowboy”, and for his big heart for the kids! He could not only tell you the name of every kid he helped, but he could also tell you the names of their parents, their cattle, horses and their dogs! Something I will always cherish about his soul was that no matter what story he was telling, he always remembered and addressed them by their name! He was still able to do this into his nineties. He was Kootenai county’s auctioneer for 50 years, and for 50 years he was everyone’s favorite face to see. He was compassionate for the many tears shed when these 4-H kids were faced with saying goodbye to their best friends. And there was never an auctioneer who worked harder to get them every penny possible for their hard work. Like my great grandfather, I have many stories to tell, because I have lived many lives. I have had opportunities to see and experience things most my age can only imagine. And for that I’m extremely blessed. It wasn’t an easy road, and my grandmother can tell you that she has spent many sleepless nights praying for this granddaughter of hers. But like my great grandpa before me, I want to build a legacy. I want to be that inspiration to young cowgirls and cowboys, I want to show them, and the little girl still inside of me, that you are never too old or too young to chase those big, big dreams!
